11:32 pm - freely flowing It's a Friday... a very slow and lazy and Friday. There's nothing much going around. For the past couple of hours I have only listened to about 3 calls. I've spent much of my time listening to my mp3 collection. I just remembered, I haven't had dinner yet... but then lunch is just 50 minutes away. Yeah, maybe my tummy can wait. Or maybe I'm just thirsty. I consumed a pack of milk-covered fish-shaped biscuits earlier but I guess my body has already converted them into some sort of energy. If you think I'm not making sense, don't mind me. I'm just typing down whatever's going on in my head. And for some reason, I can't think of anything right now... All I can do is wonder how great it would feel to play the song that I'm listening to. But maybe it wouldn't be so great at all...
Okay, I have something to do now... Current Location: Philippines, Iloilo City Current Mood: hungry Current Music: Bamboo - Hudas

06:50 am - Clouded Lots of things to think about, but no time to think about them. Lots of things to look back to, but moving forward is the online option. Lots of stories to tell, but no one to tell it to.
Sad.

04:48 am - Medical Malady About a couple of weeks ago, one of our agents did not report for work, claiming that she is having an episode of asthma. She was not able to furnish a copy of her medical certificate but eventually, she was able to produce one... although it was already way too late. Nice as he is, our boss accepted the medical certificate but expressed doubts on its validity. The medical certificate indicate that she suffered from what appeared to be dyspepsia, diarrhea, dysphonia, or dysphoria. It's always quite a challenge to figure out what doctors scribble on their pads. Confused as we were, we tried to research on what it could possibly be. If it was dyspepsia, how is that related to asthma? If you find it difficult to breathe and you cough most of the time, will you eventually suffer from stomachache? Possible. But dyspepsia is still not asthma.
Then there is diarrhea. Loose bowel movement? Still not asthma.
Dysphonia. According to healthscout.com, dysphonia refers to a voice disorder where patients suffer from hoarse voice, weakness, and at times, loss of voice. There is such a condition as spasmodic dysphonia, where there is intermittent and involuntary constriction of the voice box or larynx as one speaks. Hmmm... kinda close to asthma...
It can also be dysphoria... which the Medical Dictionary from Farlex defines as an emotional state marked by anxiety, depression, and restlessness. It also refers to feelings of anxiety, restlessness, and dissatisfaction or a disorder of affect characterized by depression and anguish. Generally, it is simply an unpleasant feeling. If you are having violent fits of asthmatic cough, that is a pretty unpleasant situation to be in.
And so the mystery goes... was it really asthma? Or some other medical malady. Or maybe she was not sick at all. Yeah, just faking it.
